Sailung is a Nepali word which means to radiate 100
blessings. It is also the name of a sacred hill
close to Salme Khola, which is famous throughout the
Ramechhap district. For Nepali people it acts as an
instant ‘locator’ for the focus of the project.
TriNetra is a Sanskrit word that
literally means ‘third eye’, but it can also be
interpreted as giving wisdom and insight to others.
Sailung TriNetra seeks to radiate
blessings through providing wisdom and insight,
empowering rural people in terms of choice and scope
for their future opportunities in a way that is
culturally appropriate.
