Donating money in UK

We have recently affiliated with a UK registered charity no.1067772 - Community Action Nepal (CAN). You can check out the work they do in Nepal on their website www.canepal.org.uk CAN have been working in Nepal for over 12 years on a wide range of educational, health and community based projects.

The trustees of CAN have agreed to act as an umbrella charity for our work in Nepal, and have allowed Sailung TriNetra to use their established administration and financial mechanisms in the UK so that we can, at this stage in our development, raise money and reclaim the Gift Aid element in the UK without going through a separate and complex registration process with the UK Charity Commission. (As such any money raised in the UK will be tax deductible).

All of the money you donate through CAN will be specifically ring-fenced for use by Sailung TriNetra. Please open up the pdf below and follow the instruction, if you want to donate, either as a monthly standing order or a one-off donation. CAN will acknowledge your donation and re-affirm its intention for use by Sailung TriNetra only.

Donating money in Australia

Please note that donations go to the project as a whole, rather than sponsorship of individual children.

Sailung TriNetra is now affiliated and legal in Australia! We are a community partner of the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific (AFAP). A non-profit, secular organisation that was established in Australia in 1968 and incorporated in the state of New South Wales in 1983.

AFAP and Sailung TriNetra are working jointly in the delivery of aid to communities overseas. AFAP closely monitors the work of Sailung TriNetra to ensure the delivery of relief and/or development programs in Nepal in terms of project outcomes. AFAP allows Sailung TriNetra to use donated funds or donations in kind only for benevolent activities undertaken by Sailung TriNetra. We, Sailung TriNetra do not have DGR status in our own right and are relying on AFAP's DGR endorsed status by the ATO. AFAP retains the ultimate discretion whether to distribute any funds in accordance with the preference expressed by the donor.
