Our Mission Statement
Providing a higher standard and broader range of
educational and income generating opportunities to
the people of Salme Khola and surrounds than is
currently available.
Our Vision
To empower the people of Salme Khola and surrounds
in terms of choice and scope for their future
opportunities in a way this is culturally
appropriate
The objectives of Sailung TriNetra are:

To establish a Not-for-Profit bakery in
Boudha, Kathmandu to ensure ongoing training
opportunities for the villagers and income
generation for the project |

To work in conjunction with the District
Education Office to upgrade the current
education provision of Salme Khola and
surrounding villages by working with the
local community to build additional
educational and community facilities with
associated infrastructure (i.e. appropriate
sanitation and water supply) to be used by
both students and the wider community |

To resource the facility with
appropriate materials and equipment |
| |

| • |
To provide appropriately qualified
teachers and to train representatives of the
local community as classroom support
assistants |

To initiate a continuing liaison with
the existing village schools |

To enable close collaboration with
relevant (I)NGO’s and to forge links between
interested parties overseas, by enhancing
fundraising, sponsorship, skill sharing
opportunities and exchanging cultural
experiences |
Running alongside the above
objectives, are a number of associated goals:

To set up an informal
education programme for the adult members of
the communities, especially those women who
have missed out on formal schooling |

To provide income
generating opportunities for the adult
community, with initiatives such as the
establishment of a handicraft centre and
bakery, to ensure long term sustainability |

To develop income
generating programmes such as homestay and
trekking tours in the local areas; this will
also provide opportunities to cultivate
cross cultural interactions. |
