Following the signing of the constitution of Sailung TriNetra, the organization has been working with the village communities to initiate plans to develop new educational facilities in the Ramechhap District serving four villages by providing an early childhood development (ECD) program and in time secondary education facilities.

The first phase, aimed to be completed by the end of 2008, will see the building of community based early childhood development centres that will serve four villages in the district and will provide pre-school education for up to 140 children. This will provide a much required foundation, returning students to their village schools with an introduction to the basics of learning and socializing.

Phase two of the project, which will be a longer-term project, will look at providing more comprehensive secondary education within the framework of the existing village schools. It is anticipated that this be will commence in 2010 at the earliest.

The project aims to combat some of the problems encountered in rural village areas throughout Nepal, and through education empowerment increase future opportunities.
